Dr. Lorenz Malär

In addition to his function as a member of the Commission, Lorenz Malär serves as CFO of Cytosurge, a Swiss-based biotech company.

Before joining Cytosurge, he served as Head of Group Accounting & Reporting at BBC Group from 2018 – 2022. Before, he worked for more than 10 years as a financial auditor at Ernst & Young, serving both listed and privately held multinational companies as well as small- and medium-sized companies in a broad range of industries.

Lorenz Malär holds a doctorate in empirical accounting research from the University of Berne and is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant.
