In addition to her work for Swiss GAAP FER, she is a PhD Student at the University of St. Gallen. For her doctoral thesis, she focuses on topic “data analytics in external auditing”. Before starting her work for Swiss GAAP FER, Anita Gierbl completed the Master in Accounting and Finance at the University of St. Gallen. Additionally she gained work experience at the accounting advisory departments of PwC and KPMG in Austria, completed a one-year internship at a tax and accounting consultant in New York City and worked in Internal Auditing in Switzerland.
